The United Kingdom ambassador to The European Union in Brussels Mr Ivan Rogers has decided to take a decision of resignation this day (Tuesday) following what seems his disagreement due to the decision expected to be taken by Miss Theresa May, the UK's PM concerning Brexit by starting the formal negotiation . From the beginning Miss May showed disagreement of the Britain to leave the union as Mr Cameroon did, but she was heard saying she respect the decision taken by the people, so there was no way out for her to take any decision.
Mr Rogers has been serving the position since 2013 when Mr Cameroon appointed him to represent the country in Brussels. Mr Rogers is considered as an experienced diplomat who represent the country overseas. Mr Rogers served in HM Treasury including as Private Secretary to Kenneth Clarke, he once served as a Director of European Strategy and Policy, also a Director of Budget and Public Finance under the administration of Gordon Brown
What is Brexit?
The term stands for the merging of two words which are Britain (which is abbreviated as Br) and Exit which together form Brexit. It means a decision taken by Britain to exit the European Union last year under the Cameroon's administration, The decision taken by the people of Britain to leave the union made a step down of Mr Cameroon and being replaced by Theresa May. She has said "Brexit means Brexit" but there is still a lot of debate about what that will mean in practice especially on the two key issues of how British firms do business in the European Union and what curbs are brought in on the rights of European Union nationals to live and work in the UK.
