Police: 2 dead in Raleigh hotel shooting

Raleigh police said two people were found dead after reports of a shooting at a hotel near Crabtree Valley Mall.

The scene unfolded just before 5 a.m. at Americas Best Value Inn Crabtree in the 3900 block of Arrow Drive.
Homicide detectives are investigating. Police have not released the victim's identities.

A hotel representative told our crew on the scene no guests are being allowed in or out of the hotel.

Blue Ridge Road was closed between the eastern entrance of Crabtree Valley Mall and Crabtree Valley Avenue but reopened around 6:30 a.m. There is still major police activity in the area, though.
