Halle Berry showed up to support an event for a good cause Thursday night — and used the opportunity to poke at her employer and show some event-staging magic. While prepping for the beauty behemoth’s Love Is On: Million Dollar Challenge finale, the model gave fans a glimpse behind the scenes with a cute Instagram story — in which she playfully took aim at the brand.
“So
here I am, at my Revlon event,” the 50-year-old actress and longtime
brand-face began as she stood on a red carpet in front of two plain
white chairs, a branded backdrop, and a small black stand with a bowl of
roses on it. “And, as you can see, Revlon goes all out for me. They
spare no expense,” she added with a laugh.
When
the person recording then started panning the room to reveal a
cavernously barren but stunning space with sweeping views of the New
York City skyline, Berry jokingly shouted, “Wait, no, no! Don’t show all
of that! No, hey!” before the video cut out.
Last night’s video was clearly just for laughs as Berry later appeared
to be happily shaking her stuff with a giant red heart in honor of the
cause. (For the record, Revlon’s Million Dollar Challenge helped raise
almost $6.4 million for women’s health-related charities, and the
company gave an additional $1.25 million prize to the five charities
that raised the most money.)
